The doctor told me that I could try and lower the blood pressure by converting my life-style - such as eating habits and fitness exercise routines - or we could try another medication. I decided that I would attempt to change my lifestyle rather than put up with the side-effects of the medicines.
I have always been a type A personality. I ate on the run, slept three to 4 hours a night and ate whatever I felt hungry for. Abruptly I found myself attempting to eat healthy, get exercise and more sleep. I didn't want to give up my fiscal goals; however my physician was quite blunt with me. He informed me that my wife & kids would be living off of my life insurance money in the near future if I did not get my blood pressure under control soon.
